LIVIGNO: 100 DAYS TO GO UNTIL THE FIVE-RING DREAM
LIVIGNO: 100 DAYS TO GO UNTIL THE FIVE-RING DREAM
Livigno 29/10/2025
From Circles to the World Cup, all the way to the Opening Ceremony: the long journey toward the Games is entering its most exciting phase.
Livigno, October 29, 2025 – Exactly one hundred days remain until the start of the
2026 Winter Olympic Games,
and in Livigno the anticipation is growing stronger—vivid, tangible, almost physical. It’s a countdown that no longer belongs only to the calendar or to those working behind the scenes, but to the very air of the mountains, to the rhythm of the days, and to the alpine energy that for months has fueled the journey toward the most eagerly awaited event of all time. For Livigno, an Olympic host venue, this journey means far more than reaching a destination: it represents the pinnacle of a process of sporting, cultural, and identity growth that in recent years has transformed the town into one of the world’s capitals of snow and outdoor sports.
Here, among Livigno’s slopes and skies, 26 Olympic titles will be awarded in the freestyle and snowboard disciplines—sports that more than any other embody the town’s creative and free-spirited soul. It’s a deep bond, rooted in Livigno’s history and DNA, that in 2026 will find its ultimate expression before the eyes of the world. Even though, in truth, the wait began long ago.

It began symbolically last February with the staging of “Circles, the Journey of the Games”, a theatrical production by Livigno, created by Kataklò Athletic Dance Theatre under the direction of Giulia Staccioli and narrated by Jacopo Pozzi. A poetic and visual story in motion, it blended sport, art, and the mountains to celebrate the “one year to go” milestone before the Games, becoming part of the Cultural Olympiad. After its success in Livigno, the show now returns to the stage at Milan’s Teatro Carcano from November 14 to 16, bringing to the city’s theater the magic, energy, and identity of the region—once again proving how Livigno can merge its sporting vision with a contemporary and international cultural outlook.
It will therefore be a long winter full of major events leading the town all the way to the start of the Olympic competitions. All eyes will be on December 27, when Livigno will host, for the first time in its history, a stage of the Alpine Ski World Cup, featuring the men’s Super-G on the Li Zeta slope — a historic event of immense symbolic and sporting significance, ideally linking the great tradition of Italian snow sports with the countdown to the Games.

And from that moment on, a crescendo of energy, emotion, and participation will take over. Because experiencing Livigno during these hundred days will mean living the Games even before they begin — breathing in the atmosphere of anticipation, feeling the strength of a community that has been ready for years, and sharing in the uniqueness of a place that knows how to welcome, surprise, and inspire. Every slope, every street, every glimmer on the snow will become part of a greater story — one where sport and culture merge to create a truly immersive experience. Here, where the snow arrives early and passion knows no season, everything is ready to embrace the future — with an extra touch of style and glamour, as shown by the decision to stage part of the highly anticipated Opening Ceremony right in Livigno, where the town will take center stage as
77 delegations parade, representing their respective Olympic teams.

And so, as the countdown marks “100 days to go,” Livigno looks ahead with the calm confidence of those who have spent years preparing for this moment — and with the excitement of knowing that the best is yet to come. Because this isn’t just about waiting for the Games: it’s about living them, feeling them, and letting their spirit flow through you. And in Livigno, that dream has already begun.
