Countdown, in Livigno, for the traditional July event, with many novelties: from live TV to the enlarged expo area at Aquagranda.

Livigno, 10/07/2024 - The Brooks Stralivigno is getting ready to animate the third weekend of July, in the heart of the summer season, and only a few days before the start of the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, the last edition before the Five Circles arrive in the Little Tibet. What better occasion, then, than the traditional appointment with the 21 km, scheduled in 10 days and become a symbol of Livigno, to celebrate sport and its values, always a cornerstone of the tourist proposal of the resort, able to attract every year runners from all over Italy for the most awaited trail of the summer. A moment of great communion also with the local population, historically very active for this event, both in terms of athletes and fans involved, and in terms of warmth and hospitality.

Given the success of the 2023 edition, also this year the runners will be able to cover two kilometres of trail included in the final stretch last year, instead of the traditional finish: a further opportunity to enjoy the scenic beauty and unspoilt nature of Livigno. Also confirmed is the altimetric profile of the competition, which foresees a positive delta of 200 metres and a maximum altitude of about 2030 metres. Already known are the names of some of the main candidates for the final victory, with Alex Baldaccini, Luca Cantoni, Ivana Iozza, Andrea Soffientini, Roberto Patuzzo, Mattia Grifa and Stefano Tettamanti present at the start.

Places are still available, both for the '21km' and the relay, and online registration is open until 17 July at www.stralivigno.it, and then on 19 July, only on site, at the race office. For the undecided remaining, then, last chance to secure a bib number and spend an unforgettable weekend of sport, contact with nature, and sharing, in the beautiful summer setting offered by the resort: an athlete-friendly and family-friendly destination.

It will be a very dense program, enriched by some welcome novelties, such as the live TV coverage of the event and a large expo area, scheduled at the Aquagranda, the Olympic Training Centre in Livigno, and open on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 7pm, and on Sunday from 8am to 12pm. Participants will be able to visit the stand of 1816, Livigno's beer, where they will be able to try it for themselves, as well as those of BWT, ProAction and much more. Finally, there will also be a special Brooks stand, naming partner of the event, which will offer the chance to test the shoes.

Participants will be able to collect their bibs, both for the '21 km' and the relay, as early as Friday 19 July, in Plaza Placheda, starting at 2 pm. Distribution will then resume the following morning, from 9 a.m. until one hour before the start of the two races, scheduled for 4 p.m. in Aquagranda, where athletes will also find changing rooms, showers and a storage service. At the end of the race, from 7.00 p.m., in Plaza Placheda, the Felicetti Pasta Party and the awards ceremony are scheduled.

For the little ones, the appointment is for Sunday 21 with the Ministralivigno, a running race dedicated to the youth categories, which will be held at the Aquagranda athletics field. Registration will be open on the morning of the event, with the cadet category first to start, followed by staggered starts for the cadetti, ragazzi, esordienti, cuccioli, baby e superbaby categories.
