On July 11, one of Livigno’s most beloved summer events returns: Sentiero Gourmet. A five-kilometer walk through the Valle del Vago, where alpine landscapes capture the true essence of the territory, and a journey through world cuisines offers an experience truly at the highest level: exotic aromas, music that speaks different languages, and dishes that tell stories from afar. An event that perfectly blends the authentic spirit of the mountains with the refined style of Livigno, a destination increasingly admired for its chic and contemporary charm.

This year, Sentiero Gourmet celebrates a special moment: Livigno will be one of the host locations for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

The theme of the event pays tribute to the five continents, represented by the Olympic Rings, a symbol of unity among cultures, traditions, and flavors from around the world.
Each stop along the trail is a world of its own, inspired by the continents and colors of the Olympic Rings. Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas come together in the meadows of Livigno, in a vibrant mix of taste, atmosphere, and creativity.

The route is divided into six stages. At each stop, a chef from the Livigno Chefs and Pastry Chefs Association will welcome guests with a complete dish, paired with a carefully selected wine by professional sommeliers. From appetizer to dessert — finishing with coffee and grappa — the menu is a step-by-step surprise to be savored along the way.

Joining the participants will be the Livigno Folk Group and the traditional costume performers from the Gruppo Costumi Caratteristici, bringing the event to life with sounds, dances, and scenes from mountain life.
Because this path is not only meant to be tasted — it’s meant to be heard, seen, and deeply felt.

The event takes place on Friday, July 11, 2025, in the Valle del Vago: a corner of authentic alpine nature, framed by the majestic Monte Vago, which rises 3,059 meters above sea level and watches over the valley — turning the walk into a true immersive journey, surrounded by silence, breathtaking views, and untouched beauty.

An opportunity to experience the most elegant and unexpected side of the mountains, where flavor meets aesthetics, and every detail is crafted with care and style.

Participants will set off in small groups every 40 minutes, starting at 10:45 AM and continuing until 3:25 PM.
Each group will consist of 30 people, accompanied by two guides throughout the entire route.

The cost to enjoy this unique experience — a blend of flavor and landscape — is €135 per person. Sentiero Gourmet was born from the passion of the Livigno Chefs and Pastry Chefs Association (ACPL), and has grown into an event that brings together cuisine, territory, and tradition. An experience to be lived with all the senses, in the unique and exclusive style of Livigno.

ACPL is also behind other important initiatives, such as the TAST – Livigno Native Food project and the recipe book “Leina da Saor.” The first can be found in participating hotels as the “Livigno-Style Breakfast Corner,” offering guests a rich tasting of the most authentic flavors and products of Livigno’s culinary tradition.

The second is a collection of 100 traditional recipes and 37 reinterpretations, accompanied by over 250 photographs, with the goal of preserving and passing on local specialties. But it’s more than just a cookbook — it’s a community-driven project, created to introduce the younger generations and all food lovers to the rich culinary heritage of Livigno.

MyLivignoPass — a digital or physical card available to guests staying at partner accommodations, delivered at check-in.
